The Third Hokage's name, is not Sarutobi, it's simply his last name. His fist name is not revealed at all, his is referred to as Sarutobi because it's his last name, and some people refer to their sensei by their last name followed by "sensei" or "sama". The Third Hokage is Konohamaru's grandfather, and Asuma Sarutobi is his son. So, by elimination, Asuma is either Konohamaru's father or uncle. But, it has been revealed that Asuma is Konohamaru's uncle, (SPOLIER) just before or just after Asuma funeral. I'd assume he was a good uncle, otherwise Konohamaru wouldn't have cried so much. Trust me, I can refer you to chapters about this stuff of the manga. I am an absolute Asuma fan, I know almost everything that has been released about him.
